Megan Boynton: My husband is driving our family on a road trip today out to Utah, and I wanted to take a minute and talk about my experience with Digital Genius Lab. I read a quote today that made me think of my experience and it says that a man’s intellect is like powder, and cannot be ignited on its own. It needs a fire from outside, so an outside source is the fire that lights it. That is my experience with Digital Genius Lab. I felt like I had so much potential, and I was doing some great things in my life. I was taking care of my family and I was contributing in the community, but there was something missing in my personal growth. When I found it, I was honestly scared to believe in myself and scared to take a chance and try something new. I just could not be more grateful that I did make that choice in the end.
The difference that it’s made in my life is to teach me what it means to be a leader and what it means to actually believe in myself, and how to do that. My mentors have given me so much to think about and so much to be grateful for. They have fed that belief into me, as has so many people in the community and just the basic process of learning that has been set up here. It is truly a platform by the people, for the people. I just can’t say enough about my gratitude for being included in the process of creating this platform and having my voice heard in saying what I would like to see more of, or what I think needs to change. It’s an ongoing process. It’s a living, breathing platform that includes every single member and acts as a family as well.
I am so extremely grateful that I’m involved and so happy that I got past any fears or insecurities that I had so that I could do that and be where I am now.
